The Holosun IRIS 3 has a relatively tight illuminator beam pattern. While this provides great capability at long distances, it can be overly tight in close quarters, creating washout or harsh shadows. The Fotonika Holosun IRIS 3/4 Diffuser is a non permanent solution allowing you to flip the diffuser into place when needed to create a wider, softer beam pattern that is extremely effective in illuminating rooms and other closed spaces while still retaining the ability to use the tight beam for longer distances.
Professionally injection molded out of the same polymer used by L3 in all of their products such as the PEQ15/ LA5 and specifically designed to be easily repaired by the end user to be as cost effective as possible. The design utilizes two screws that hold the two halves together. The user can quickly and easily replace torn tethers, damaged polymer halves, and diffusing sheets. The user can also choose to run the cover without the diffusing sheet installed to help mitigate the blooming/ halo ring effect present on some dirty illuminators.
